Memorial Weekend

I hope everyone enjoyed the Memorial Weekend...and of course remember why we actually celebrate. Thank-you to those that put their lives on the line for us here in America. This weekend was filled with tons of running around town...enjoying the lovely weather we had. Of course it also involved my new passion of working out as well... I am up to 4 days a week...well on my way to 5 days...Life is good...

Happy Mother's Day

My apologies for being missing in action! Work has had me SUPER busy! I am hoping that i get a little bit of a breather...
Today was a beautiful day in Chicago, the temp was mild (it could have been a tad bit warmer by my standards) and the sun was shining. It was gorgeous. I spent the time running around the city as usual.then off to the suburbs to see my mother and sister for a late brunch. It is always nice to see family and spend some time reminiscing  and laughing. Now the week begins...

Had a little fun today with Alex..we spent this past Saturday volunteering for the 1st annual CPS prom pledge held in my office. For prom pledge we accumulated 250 prom dress for inner city girls to come, win prizes (mani/pedi), hair styling, make-up application ect. It was a a fun day... The girls were so grateful and happy! Ill put photos up shortly, bur here is what Alex and i wore for birthday dinner later that evening....Alex turned 15!!!!

Ran into All Saints a few days ago and what a sight to see. I love all things sparkling. Such a pretty dress..now i have to find a wonderful place to wear this to. The dress is the shoe stopper, so all the accessories must be minimal. Let the dress...shine!!! WHat do you think?

Birthday Brunch

A few Sunday's ago i went to RL (Ralph Lauren, the restaurant) for brunch for my friend Y's birthday. I will tell you i had the best egg's benedict i have ever had. Instead of an english muffin it was a potato pancake with smoked salmon on top, then the poached eggs...this was amazing. As her birthday present i bought her a dozen macaroons from one of her favorite places...Vanille, along with a movie gift card. What a wonderful brunch.

Glitter loafers

So as i was out and about last week i ran into these lovely glitter loafers.. at Top Shop. I didn't buy them, but i think they are super cute...not sure how comfortable they are...but hey, my heels are not always comfortable either..LOL. What do you think if thee? I would love your opinion..
